Janis Malicious is an Australian singer-songwriter, based in Melbourne. She is currently about to break out on the world stage with interest from record publishers, song writers, musicians and producers.

After moving to Melbourne for university, she performed under the name ‘Le Fay’ at venues including the Brunswick Hotel (Brunswick), the Vineyard (St Kilda,) the Espy, and performed at the Icy Creek Music Festival and the Fehily Contemporary Art Gallery.

In 2014 Janis concentrated on writing and recording her own music, when she was discovered on YouTube by Alex Houton (AHM Media, Spotlight87). Houton invited her to New York to produce two singles with himself and Grammy Award winner Brian Vibberts (Mariah Carey, Foo Fighters, Lauryn Hill.) Upon her return to Australia, one of the singles was immediately signed to a publishing deal, to pitch to other artists for use.

Single, ‘The Boy and His Beast,’ will also appear on the soundtrack for new TV series, Save Me, produced by Chris Jones in El Paso, Texas.

Thanks for following the action! Keep in touch!xx

After performing for the last few years under the stage name Le Fay, and finding her music commonly mis-filed on Spotify under a similarly named Spanish band… Janis Malicious was born.

Melbourne-based singer-songwriter, Janis Malicious, finds a bolder, more alternate-pop sound, with American producer, Alex Houton.

Since returning from the States last year, with two new singles hot in hand, she is currently working on her debut EP.
